Most days the mail brings an assortment of bills and junk mail. Today we got a pleasant surprise.

Since 2000, Jewish Cuba Connection, Inc. has been partnering with The Wheelchair Foundationto bring hope and mobility world wide. Since 2002 we have been the official representative of The Wheelchair Foundation representative in Cuba. We have donated or arranged for the free distribution of over 1,800 wheelchairs on the island.This number includes 250 chairs donated to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Jewish Community of Cuba in 2006.

Today I received a letter from David Behringer, President of The Wheelchair Foundation notifying us that we are being honored on the Donor Wall of the Wheelchair Foundation's exhibit gallery at Blackhawk Museum in Danville, California.We are pleased to be a "Giver of Hope" and look forward to continuing this meaningful partnership of hope.
